Desktop office companion
Install Setup.exe. First-run starts Hermes locally. The pet clocks in on your desk with stations, chat, and shop skins.
Team / People
Hire more than one agent. Each teammate gets an LLM and a right-side settings panel. Keys stay masked until you reveal them.
Branchable chat canvas
Fork replies, merge threads, and keep parent lines visible so you can see how work split and rejoined.
Why Hermes Agent?
PetPetAgent is based on Hermes Agent by Nous Research. It is the default local runtime: it keeps memory, turns what worked into skills, and keeps working on this PC. We paired it because the office companion needs a gateway that lives next to the files — not a tab that forgets you.
It gets better — and it remembers you
Most agents re-reason every task from scratch. After a non-trivial job, Hermes can write the steps as a markdown skill and load that skill next time; it also keeps preferences, project context, and where you left off. Skills accumulate in files you can still open after the chat closes.
A local gateway, not a hosted chat
First-run installs and starts Hermes on Windows. Manage API writes official env fields and scanned keys to .env. Teammate LLMs are configured in People / Team. Prompts you send to a provider still follow that provider’s terms — local-first is the default, not a promise that no networked model is ever used.

Hermes keeps memory and skills on disk. PetPetAgent puts a desk, a team roster, a chat canvas, stations, and shop skins around that gateway. One office pet, paired with an agent that can actually clock in locally — that is why Hermes is the default partner engine.
